Principal
Matt Leslie is a licensed Civil and Structural Engineer in the State of Washington. Since graduating from Washington State University with his Master’s degree in 2004, Matt has been working in Yakima, Washington; providing structural engineering services for architects, contractors, and owners. He has worked on a large variety of projects within the Yakima area, as well as throughout Washington, Oregon, and California.
Matt focuses on constructability and efficiency of design in his projects, while ensuring that his clients’ goals are met. Matt believes that staying abreast of the latest developments in engineering and computer technology, through continuing education, is essential to maintaining the highest quality of work while reducing cost in a competitive market.

Daniel Sumerfield is a licensed Professional Engineer who has been providing structural engineering services for architects, contractors, and building owners throughout the West Coast for the past eight years.
Daniel believes that client satisfaction and technical excellence are the most important aspects of a successful project. He achieves these aims by ensuring his client's desires and expectations are understood and addressed, by providing high quality, constructible design documents for the contractors, and by staying educated with the most current technologies and tools available to the structural engineering profession.

Civil Engineering Project Manager
Darko Hrle has sixteen years of diverse experience as a Civil Engineer. Darko spent the first of his six years working in the Bay Area, California as a Design Engineer and then as a Project Manager. Darko has been providing civil engineering services for architects, developers, contractors, and building owners throughout Washington and California. His expertise is in the planning, design and management of residential, commercial, industrial; educational, medical, municipal projects.
Darko believes that client satisfaction, value engineering, and technical excellence are the most important aspects of a successful project. While providing cost efficient projects and striving to reduce service costs in a competitive market, he achieves these aims by ensuring his client's desires and expectations are understood and addressed by providing high quality, constructible design documents and by staying educated with the most current technologies and tools available to the civil engineering profession.

Senior Engineer
Michael Harrison is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California and has been providing structural engineering services for architects, contractors, and building owners throughout the Northwest for over 25 years. As a former contractor, Michael has a thorough understanding of construction techniques and limitations which aids him in designing highly constructible and cost effective buildings.
Michael has worked on a wide variety of projects over the years, including residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and institutional facilities. Along with his breadth of experience in various building types and materials, he has specialized in design-build projects using concrete construction. He has worked on hundreds of new construction projects, with building sizes up to 300,000 square feet and construction costs exceeding $21 million.

Senior CAD Technician
Heidi graduated from High Tech Institute, located in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1989 with a Tech Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting / Architectural - Structural.
Heidi started her drafting career in 1985 as an apprentice architect at United Builders in Yakima and as the lead designer at Valley Quality Homes in Sunnyside. For 20 years, Heidi worked as lead CAD Drafter at Structure Engineering, Inc. where she developed her skills as a structural engineering drafter.
Heidi joined Leslie Engineering in August 2015 bringing 30 years of architectural and structural engineering drafting experience.
